Oh my goodness, has this been the most fun room to decorate! Styling a room for littles is unlike anything else. The world of inspiration is endless, on top of that, my heart gets to lead the way. Greg and I are just a few weeks away from meeting our first child. I can hardly believe I’m writing those words. This pregnancy has flown by, just as everyone said it would and now we’re anticipating the arrival of our most precious gift. We’re about to be a family of three! Let’s jump into the nursery design, shall we?
Ahh, the holidays… nothing brings out the homebody in me more…
She said with a huge smile. I’m so blessed to have a place to retreat to each day that brings me comfort and peace. I truly enjoy spending time at home. I’ve been this way for so long, I can’t remember when it started. I’ve always said “twenty-something on the outside—eighty-five on the inside”. Anyway, when it gets so bitter cold outside, we all spend more time indoors. This year, I was excited as ever to decorate for Christmas, but put out much less than usual. If you’re a regular reader, I’ll sound like a broken record, but… I wanted to keep the noise down. Keep the clutter to a minimum. I put out just things that spark joy! The pretty paperwhites, and twinkly lights do the trick!
Welcome or welcome back, friends! I’m glad you stopped by to check out this blog hop because it’s such a GOOD one. Today I’m posting all about how to take on seasonal decor in a more subtle way. Just like you, I’m sure, I’m a big fan of scrolling through Pinterest and other blogs to soak up all the fall decor goodness that is out there. However, when it comes to translating it into my own home, I like to keep it simple. I’m here to show you how you can transform your house into the cozy haven it will be all winter, without sacrificing your style and still get that moody, autumnal feel.
Thank you guys so much for the sweet comments and feedback on my ‘Vintage-Coastal Den Reveal’ last week! I’m so glad to have given some of you new ideas and inspiration. I know I shared some sources that went into decorating the den in my last POST, but there was so much that went into this space, I want to share even more of the sources and details.
I am so excited to share our new den with all of you today!! I can’t even tell you the sigh of relief I’m taking as I write this! This project has been in the works for what feels like forever! Not because it was hard to do or that we had any troubles, but it took time to not only collect the pieces and decide on the vibe of the room, but to decide on WHAT this space was going to be! It was an evolution and we took breaks and came back to it. Now that it has come together, I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you all! I hope you enjoy our vintage-coastal den reveal!
Have you seen what we did in our kitchen to create a tiny eat-in area? This little cape didn’t have an obvious dining space (at all). We created a beautiful bar in our kitchen to belly up to and eat our breakfast at or put out appetizers for guests and that works great for us on an every day level.
