I’d like to go ahead and preface this post with the fact that I have absolutely no idea what to expect and I could be completely over/under packed here! Between bloggers, YouTubers and people you know who have children, there are so many differing opinions about what you actually need to bring with you to the hospital. I’m very aware of the difference between “needs” and “wants” but I also have no idea if I’ll be in and out quickly or if I’ll labor for a long time. So, I’m going with my gut and bringing what I think feels right for us!
You can see my packing list for baby at the end of this post.
Okay, first of all, how cute is this #momlife burlap bag? I’ve partnered with the lovely ladies from Indigo Tangerine for this post. They make beautiful gifts and home goods in their online shop and are definitely worth checking out! I thought, why not embrace my “millennial-ism” with a hashtag? Anyway, I especially love that it has a zipper across the top so in the rush of getting to the hospital, I don’t have to worry about anything falling out. I can’t wait to use this bag for on-the-go later, but for now, I’m breaking it in as our baby’s hospital bag. It is the perfect size to pack all of baby girl’s “stuff” for the hospital. I tried to pair down, but I also know I’ll want options for photos and going home, so I tried to cover my bases.
I’m hoping to capture a photo of our little one on her first days in the world that we’ll cherish forever. There are so many gorgeous and fun prints and products on the market for babies these days, and I love them, but I didn’t want to look back in 10 years and feel like I went overboard. So, I kept her clothes neutral and classic, but I’m bringing a couple of fun swaddle options to try too.
Here’s what I’m packing for baby girl:
(Links for everything I could find, are included)
2 newborn onesies
2 0-3 month onesies
2 sets of pajamas
Going home outfit
Rattle for pictures
2 pairs of socks
10 newborn diapers
1 package of wipes
I’d love to hear what you packed for your baby’s arrival in the comments! Let me know if I’m missing any important pieces.
