Basket

My friends laugh at the number of baskets and plants in my house. And I let them because I could never give up either! Never underestimate the power of texture. Natural materials speak to not only farmhouse but vintage New England. They’re classic, they’re beautiful and they’re functional. I say buy them in every shape and size! This large one is perfect to hold laundry, toys, blankets, you name it!

Rustic Wooden Box

Corral all your junk into one, stylish, farmhouse piece. A wood box! The variety styles out there are endless. I especially like ones with a somewhat darker finish and a touch of metal like this one.

Boston fern

As I mentioned… I have a thing for house plants. Ferns are especially beautiful and show off a New England vibe! They’re easy to find at local nurseries around here but if you don’t have a green thumb, this faux fern looks so real! No one will ever know 😉

Barn Light

Light fixtures are a huge way to bring farmhouse vibes into your house. There are countless shopping guides for them on Pinterest, but I love this little guy for a bathroom or outside your backdoor! (Yes, outdoor lights can be cute inside too!)

Neutral Cotton Quilts

If you love farmhouse style, you probably love neutrals. I’m no different! They’re a great base for any color you want to pop and they’re extra soothing. I’ve started a small collection of cozy, neutral quilts and find that I reach for them more than any other throws. I love ones made of linen or cotton, they’re super soft and cozy and come in so many different weights. My favorite one is discontinued from L.L.Bean but this one is very similar!

I hope that was fun for you guys! I enjoyed coming up with this little list–let me know if there are any other type of shopping guides you’d like to see OR if you have any questions, leave them down below!

  • New England Farmhouse - Finding Your Farmhouse Style

[…] What home decor stores do you prefer to shop at? I’m afraid my readers are probably bored with my obsession for HomeGoods and TJMaxx—I just love that there are always new things and you simply can’t beat the prices! Outside of those, my favorite spots are Pottery Barn, Ballard, Home Decorators. As far as my favorite local-unsourceable-spots I’m all about flea markets, estate sales and antique stores. You know what they say about one man’s trash… AND you know you can always count on Amazon—they’re magical —I’ve created a shopping guide to a few pieces that are totally New England Farmhouse! You can see them HERE. […]
