The hunt is over! Landlord living is over! My husband, Greg, and I closed on our little house on the hill today and we couldn’t be happier. Our new home, a cape, was built in 1949 by the family who just sold it to us. We are thrilled to be the second family living here. There was so much pride put into this house. Even with all the older touches and overgrown gardens, it feels like home. We felt connected to it, the very first time we drove up the driveway. It’s just secluded enough, atop this little hill. It sits on two and half acres with tall nordic pines and dogwood trees lining the driveway. It’s small and humble inside, but has plenty of room for us to grow into. Greg is already planning out his vegetable garden. I’ve got my paint swatches, screw driver, and sponges ready! There’s a lot of work to be done, but we can see the beauty in this house. Our new homestead! Interior photos to come.
